Community Service
The Milan FFA Chapter does a lot of community service in Milan and in surrounding areas. Below are a few community service projects that the Milan FFA chapter does.
Blankets For Motts Hospital
Our chapter has successfully completed another year of warming blankets. These blankets were made in class by FFA members for the University Of Michigan Mott’s Children's Pediatric Hospital. The purpose of these blankets were to warm children that are fighting cancer. These blankets were delivered to the hospital by members to experience helping children in need.
Project R.E.D
Project R.E.D stands for Rural Education Days. It is hosted at the Washtenaw Farm Council Grounds in Saline Michigan. At Project R.E.D third graders from all around the county come and visit the fair grounds, and they learn all about different forms of agricultural. The third graders learn everything from farm animals like pigs and cows to learning about farming machinery. The Milan FFA chapter volunteers at this event every year.
